Poetry-Film Festival

Co-Kisser hosts an international Poetry-Film Festival every year in October. It is the only comprehensive poetry-film fest in the United States. We accept submissions from February-July.

Our fest is comprehensive because we show both long and short films in all styles and genres. We say the film should be “inspired by poetry or a poet, or based on poetry or a poet,” but we are not looking to define “poetry-films.” Rather, we ask filmmakers to tell us why they believe their film is a poetry-film, and our mission is to curate the best from these films to showcase a diverse range of what the genre of poetry-film can be.

Poetry-film is recently gaining popularity as a genre, and we are excited to make the Twin Cities a vibrant international hub of poetry-film.
